The purpose of this Policy is to:
- Protect customers from payment fraud
- Protect Teramax from fraudulent transactions
- Prevent unauthorised use of payment instruments
- Reduce chargeback and payment disputes
- Protect customer and company information
- Establish procedures for failed and disputed transactions
- Permit appropriate verification of suspicious transactions
- Prevent misuse of Teramax’s online services
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations and payment-provider requirements
2. ACCEPTANCE OF THIS POLICY
By making a payment to Teramax or purchasing a service through the Website, the customer acknowledges that:
- The customer has read this Policy
- The customer is authorised to use the payment method
- The payment information supplied is accurate
- The customer will not use another person’s payment instrument without lawful authorisation
- The customer will not use fraudulent or stolen payment information
- The customer will not intentionally initiate a false chargeback
- The customer will cooperate with reasonable payment verification procedures
This Policy forms part of the Website Terms & Conditions.

Customers should verify account details before transferring funds.
4. NO UNAUTHORISED PAYMENT METHODS
Customers must not make payments through:
- Unofficial bank accounts
- Personal accounts of employees
- Unauthorised third parties
- Unknown intermediaries
- Cryptocurrency addresses not officially authorised
- Gift cards
- Stolen cards
- Third-party payment instruments without authority
Teramax shall not be responsible for payments made to fraudulent or unauthorised accounts that were not officially communicated by Teramax.
5. PAYMENT AUTHORISATION
By submitting a payment, the customer represents that:
- The customer is the legitimate account holder or has lawful authority to use the payment method
- The payment details supplied are accurate
- The transaction is legitimate
- The customer is purchasing the service for a lawful purpose
- The transaction is not connected with fraud, money laundering or other unlawful activity
6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT SECURITY
Customers must:
- Keep payment credentials confidential
- Never share OTPs
- Never share UPI PINs
- Never share CVV numbers
- Never share banking passwords
- Avoid making payments through suspicious links
- Verify the Website before entering payment information
- Verify the transaction amount
- Verify the beneficiary before bank transfer
Teramax will not normally request a customer’s:
- UPI PIN
- ATM PIN
- Internet banking password
- Card PIN
- CVV
- OTP
If a person claiming to represent Teramax requests such information, the customer should immediately contact Teramax through its official contact details.
7. PAYMENT GATEWAY SECURITY
Online payment information may be entered directly into the interface provided by the applicable payment service provider.
Teramax may not receive or store complete card authentication credentials.
Payment service providers may independently apply:
- Authentication
- Risk scoring
- Fraud detection
- Transaction monitoring
- Velocity checks
- Device checks
- Geographic checks
- Other security controls
A transaction may be declined or placed under review by the payment provider.
8. TRANSACTION CONFIRMATION
A payment is considered successfully received only after Teramax or its payment service provider receives appropriate confirmation.
The following do not by themselves constitute final confirmation:
- Payment page opened
- Payment initiated
- UPI request created
- Bank debit shown as pending
- Screenshot of payment
- Customer claim that payment was made
Teramax may verify the transaction through the applicable payment provider or bank.
9. PAYMENT RECEIPT
After successful payment verification, Teramax may issue:
- Order confirmation
- Payment confirmation
- Invoice
- Receipt
- Service commencement communication
The format of confirmation may vary depending upon the payment method.
10. FAILED PAYMENT
A payment may fail because of:
- Insufficient funds
- Bank restrictions
- Card restrictions
- Incorrect payment details
- Payment gateway issues
- Network problems
- Authentication failure
- Risk controls
- Expired card
- UPI failure
- Bank downtime
- Technical problems
A failed payment does not create an obligation upon Teramax to commence the service.
11. PAYMENT DEBITED BUT ORDER NOT CONFIRMED
If the customer’s account is debited but the Website does not confirm the order, the customer should contact Teramax with:
- Name
- Registered email
- Mobile number
- Transaction ID
- Amount
- Date and time
- Payment method
- Screenshot, where useful
Teramax may verify the payment with the payment provider.
Where the transaction is confirmed as unsuccessful and funds are not automatically reversed, Teramax may assist with the applicable refund/reversal process.
12. DUPLICATE PAYMENT
If a customer accidentally makes the same payment more than once, the customer should notify Teramax.
Teramax may verify the transactions.
Where duplicate payment is confirmed, the excess amount may be refunded or adjusted against another outstanding amount, subject to agreement and applicable payment-provider procedures.
13. WRONG AMOUNT PAID
If a customer pays:
Less than the required amount; or
More than the required amount,
Teramax may contact the customer to resolve the discrepancy.
A service may be kept on hold until the required payment is confirmed.
14. REFUND POLICY FOR ONLINE PAYMENTS
Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy.
A refund may be considered for:
- Duplicate payment
- Confirmed technical payment failure
- Teramax cancellation before service commencement
- Other circumstances specifically approved by Teramax
- Circumstances where a refund is required under applicable law
15. REFUND TO ORIGINAL PAYMENT METHOD
Where technically and legally possible, refunds will generally be processed through the original payment method.
Teramax may require additional information to verify the recipient before processing a refund.
16. REFUND VERIFICATION
Teramax may verify:
- Original transaction
- Customer identity
- Order information
- Payment method
- Transaction reference
- Bank/payment-provider confirmation
Teramax may refuse to process a refund to an unrelated third-party account unless legally or operationally permitted.
17. REFUND PROCESSING TIME
Once a refund is approved, the time taken for funds to reach the customer’s account may depend upon:

- Bank
- Card issuer
- UPI provider
- Payment network
- Other financial institution
Teramax cannot guarantee the exact date on which the customer’s bank will credit the refunded amount.
18. FRAUD PREVENTION
Teramax may implement reasonable measures to identify and prevent fraudulent transactions.
These measures may include:
- Transaction monitoring
- Payment gateway fraud screening
- Customer verification
- Order verification
- IP/device checks
- Multiple transaction checks
- Unusual transaction pattern detection
- Verification of project/customer information
- Review of suspicious documents
- Manual review
19. WHAT MAY BE CONSIDERED A SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTION
A transaction may be subject to review if it involves circumstances such as:
- Multiple failed payment attempts
- Multiple cards being used for one order
- Multiple accounts using the same payment instrument
- Unusual transaction patterns
- Mismatch between customer and payer information
- Suspicious billing information
- Suspicious IP/device activity
- Repeated refund requests
- Repeated chargebacks
- Unusual order value
- Attempts to circumvent payment controls
- Fraud alerts from a payment provider
- Suspected stolen payment credentials
- False or manipulated documents
- Identity mismatch
- Unusual use of third-party payment instruments
A review does not automatically mean that a customer has committed fraud.
20. IDENTITY VERIFICATION
Teramax may request reasonable verification where necessary to confirm:
- Customer identity
- Authority to act for a company
- Payment ownership
- Transaction legitimacy
- Refund entitlement
The verification information requested will depend upon the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.
21. THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT INSTRUMENTS
Where a customer uses a payment instrument belonging to another individual or entity, Teramax may request confirmation that the customer is authorised to use it.
Teramax may suspend processing until reasonable verification is completed.
22. CORPORATE PAYMENTS
Where a company purchases Teramax services, payment may be made by:
- The company itself
- An authorised employee
- An authorised representative
- An authorised corporate payment account
The purchaser may be required to provide corporate details where necessary for invoicing or verification.
23. THIRD-PARTY PAYERS
Where a third party makes payment on behalf of a customer, Teramax may require:
- Customer confirmation
- Payer details
- Relationship between payer and customer
- Purpose of payment
- Appropriate supporting information
This is intended to reduce payment fraud and unauthorised transactions.
24. FRAUDULENT PAYMENT INFORMATION
It is strictly prohibited to use:
- Stolen cards
- Stolen bank accounts
- Compromised UPI accounts
- Fake identities
- False corporate details
- Fraudulent payment accounts
- Unauthorised payment instruments
Where fraudulent activity is identified or reasonably suspected, Teramax may:
- Suspend the transaction
- Suspend the order
- Cancel the service
- Withhold service commencement
- Contact the payment provider
- Request additional verification
- Preserve relevant transaction records
- Report the matter to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate
- Take legal action where warranted
25. FALSE INFORMATION
Customers must not provide false or misleading information relating to:
- Name
- Company
- Address
- GST information
- Payment ownership
- Project
- Identity
- Service requirement
Teramax may cancel an order where materially false information is discovered.
26. FRAUDULENT DOCUMENTS
Customers must not submit forged, fabricated, manipulated or materially misleading documents.
Examples include:
- Fake bank statements
- Fake payment receipts
- Altered invoices
- Fake company documents
- Fake identity documents
- Forged project documents
- Manipulated PPA documents
- Fake land documents
- Fake authorisation letters
Where fraudulent documents are suspected, Teramax may suspend the transaction and seek appropriate verification.
27. PAYMENT SCREENSHOT FRAUD
A payment screenshot, bank statement screenshot or UPI screenshot does not constitute conclusive evidence of successful payment.
Teramax may rely upon payment-gateway or banking confirmation.
Customers should not manipulate or edit payment screenshots.
28. OTP AND AUTHENTICATION FRAUD
Teramax employees should not request:
- OTP
- UPI PIN
- Card PIN
- CVV
- Internet banking password
Customers must never provide such information to a person claiming to be a Teramax representative.
29. PHISHING AND IMPERSONATION
Fraudsters may impersonate Teramax employees or representatives.
Customers should be cautious of:
- Fake Teramax websites
- Fake email addresses
- Fake WhatsApp accounts
- Fake payment links
- Fake bank details
- Fake invoices
- Fake employees
- Fake refund requests
Customers should verify suspicious communications through the official Teramax contact channel.
30. CHANGE OF BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS
If Teramax changes its official bank account details, customers should verify the change through an authorised Teramax communication channel before making payment.
Teramax may require additional confirmation for significant changes in payment instructions.
Customers should not rely solely on an unexpected email or messaging-app request for a bank-account change.
31. FRAUDULENT REFUND REQUESTS
A customer must not falsely claim:
- That payment was not received
- That a transaction was unauthorised
- That the service was not delivered
- That the transaction was duplicated
That the customer did not receive the service,
when the customer knows that the relevant statement is false.
False refund claims may be treated as fraudulent conduct.
32. CHARGEBACK POLICY
A chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a payment through the card issuer, bank or payment provider.
Customers are requested to contact Teramax first where the dispute concerns:
- Service delivery
- Refund
- Duplicate payment
- Payment status
- Order cancellation
Teramax may provide transaction records and service-delivery evidence to the payment provider or acquiring bank where required.
33. FALSE CHARGEBACKS
Initiating a chargeback while knowingly providing false information may constitute misuse of the payment system.
Teramax reserves the right to:
- Contest the chargeback
- Provide transaction evidence
- Suspend the customer account
- Suspend future service purchases
- Recover legitimate amounts
- Take appropriate legal action where warranted
34. EVIDENCE FOR PAYMENT DISPUTES
Teramax may retain and provide appropriate records relating to a disputed transaction, including:
- Order information
- Payment confirmation
- Invoice
- Customer communications
- Service commencement records
- Service-delivery records
- Reports delivered
- Email communications
- Website logs
- Refund records
Such information may be provided to payment providers, banks, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where legally required or appropriate.
35. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION
Teramax may temporarily suspend access to online purchasing or services where:
- Fraud is suspected
- Payment is disputed
- Identity verification is incomplete
- False documents are submitted
- Multiple suspicious transactions are detected
- The customer violates the Terms
- The transaction creates a security risk
36. ORDER CANCELLATION FOR FRAUD RISK
Teramax may cancel an order where reasonable fraud or security concerns cannot be satisfactorily resolved.
Where cancellation is due to suspected fraud, refund handling may be subject to transaction verification, payment-provider requirements and applicable law.
37. FRAUD INVESTIGATION
Teramax may conduct internal reviews of suspicious transactions.

- Customer communications
- Technical logs
- Payment gateway information
- Transaction records
- Documents supplied by the customer
Teramax may limit disclosure of investigation details where disclosure could compromise security or an investigation.
38. LAW ENFORCEMENT
Where required or appropriate, Teramax may cooperate with:

- Cybercrime authorities
- Courts
- Regulators
- Banks
- Payment providers
- Financial institutions
- Other legally authorised bodies
39. RECORD RETENTION
Teramax may retain transaction and payment-related records for the period reasonably necessary for:
- Accounting
- Taxation
- Audit
- Fraud prevention
- Dispute resolution
- Chargeback defence
- Legal compliance
- Contractual purposes
Records may include transaction references, invoices, payment confirmations and relevant communications.
40. DATA PROTECTION
Payment-related information will be handled according to Teramax’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Teramax seeks to avoid unnecessary collection of sensitive payment authentication information.
Customers should never send passwords, PINs or OTPs through email, WhatsApp or ordinary enquiry forms.
41. PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS
Payment transactions may be subject to the terms and policies of the applicable payment gateway, card network, bank, UPI provider or other payment service.
Teramax does not control third-party payment infrastructure.
Payment providers may independently:
- Decline transactions
- Delay transactions
- Request authentication
- Conduct fraud checks
- Reverse transactions
- Place transactions under review
42. TRANSACTION LIMITS
Payment providers or banks may impose transaction limits.
Teramax may also impose reasonable transaction limits for security or operational reasons.
43. MULTIPLE ORDERS
Where multiple orders are placed in a short period, Teramax may conduct additional verification to ensure that the transactions are legitimate.
44. INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS
Where international payments are permitted, the transaction may be subject to:
- Applicable foreign-exchange laws
- Banking requirements
- Payment-provider restrictions
- Tax requirements
- Customer verification
- Other applicable regulations
Teramax may request additional information before accepting or processing certain international transactions.
45. SANCTIONS AND RESTRICTED TRANSACTIONS
Teramax may refuse or suspend transactions where required by applicable law, regulatory restrictions, sanctions requirements or payment-provider rules.
46. MONEY-LAUNDERING AND ILLEGAL USE
Teramax does not knowingly permit its Website or payment facilities to be used for unlawful financial activity.
Transactions may be reviewed where there are reasonable indicators of:
- Fraud
- Money laundering
- Identity misuse
- Unauthorised payment
- Other unlawful activity
Teramax may take action required or permitted by law.
47. NO CASH REFUND AGAINST ONLINE PAYMENT
Where a refund is approved for an online transaction, Teramax will generally process the refund through the original payment channel or another lawful method approved after verification.
Cash refunds will generally not be provided for online transactions unless specifically required or approved.
48. REFUND TO THIRD PARTY
Teramax may refuse to refund an amount to a third party who is not the verified customer/payer unless:

Official payment communications should originate from Teramax’s authorised communication channels.
Customers should be cautious of unexpected requests to:

- Install software
- Provide remote computer access
- Send money to personal accounts
50. CUSTOMER REPORTING OF FRAUD
Customers should immediately report suspected fraud or unauthorised transactions to Teramax.
Reports should include, where available:
- Name
- Contact information
- Transaction ID
- Amount
- Date
- Payment method
- Description of the suspected fraud
- Supporting evidence

51. SECURITY ALERTS
Teramax may contact customers regarding suspicious transactions.
However, Teramax will not ordinarily request confidential payment authentication credentials such as OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs or banking passwords.
52. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CUSTOMER NEGLIGENCE
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Teramax shall not be responsible for losses resulting from the customer’s:
- Sharing of OTP
- Sharing of PIN
- Sharing of password
- Sharing of card details
- Use of fraudulent websites
- Payment to unauthorised accounts
- Failure to verify payment instructions
- Disclosure of confidential credentials
Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
53. CYBERSECURITY INCIDENTS
If Teramax identifies a cybersecurity or payment-security incident, it may take reasonable steps including:
- Temporarily suspending transactions
- Blocking suspicious activity
- Changing security controls
- Contacting affected parties where appropriate
- Coordinating with service providers
- Reporting to authorities where legally required
54. POLICY CHANGES
Teramax may update this Policy from time to time to reflect:
- Changes in law
- Changes in payment systems
- New fraud risks
- Changes in business operations
- Changes in Website functionality
- Payment-provider requirements
The updated version will be published on the Website.
55. GOVERNING LAW
This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.

58. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By making a payment through www.teramaxindia.com, the customer confirms that:
- The payment is authorised
- The payment instrument is lawfully available to the customer
- The information supplied is accurate
- The transaction is for a legitimate purpose
- The customer agrees to the applicable Terms & Conditions
- The customer agrees to the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy
- The customer understands that suspicious transactions may be subject to verification
- The customer understands that fraudulent transactions may be reported to appropriate authorities
Teramax India Pvt. Ltd. reserves all rights available under applicable law to protect its customers, payment systems, business, intellectual property and financial interests.
